Complain to the Department of Transportation

If you were affected by the World Airways and Ritetime Aviation's disruption of service and have not done so yet, you should file a complaint with the United States Department of Transportation's Aviation Consumer Protection Division (ACPD). This will only take you a few moments to do but it is an important step in encouraging the Department of Transportation to conduct a full investigation and/or commence an enforcement action against World Airways and Ritetime.

You can e-mail, write or call the ACPD to register your complaint.

E-mail:

You can e-mail the ACPD at airconsumer@ost.dot.gov

Regular Mail:

You can mail your complaint to the ACPD at:

Aviation Consumer Protection Division
U.S. Department of Transportation
400 7th Street, S.W.
Washington, D.C. 20590

Call:

Or you can call the ACPD 24 hours each day at 202-366-2220
(TTY 202-366-0511) to record your complaint. (Due to staff size limitations the ACPD cannot return phone calls.)

Whether you e-mail, write or call, please be brief and concise in the description of your problem and be sure to include the following information:

  • your name
  • address
  • daytime phone number (including area code)
  • name of the airline or company about which you are complaining
  • flight date
  • flight number
  • origin and destination cities of your trip.

If you write, you should also include a copy of your airline ticket (not the original) and any correspondence you have already exchanged with World Airways and Ritetime Aviation.
