Mr. Echeruo, graduate of the University of Nigeria and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree and an MBA from Indiana University . He was admitted to the New York bar in 1993. He practiced law at Thacher Proffitt & Wood, a major Wall Street law firm. Ike's practice areas include: Corporate and Securities Law, Private Placements and Mergers and Acquisitions. Mr. Echeruo represents clients in all types of corporate finance transactions, including registered public offerings, and private placements of debt and equity securities. For instance, he advised ACTV, Inc. on a successful $100 million secondary offering on Nasdaq and a West African privatized telecom company, in equipment acquisition and financing transaction with a major United States telecom equipment maker.
In addition, Mr. Echeruo has represented clients in major complex litigation. For instance, he won summary judgment in a major liability case against one of the largest travel companies in the United States (Doe, et al v. Liberty Travel, et al). He is admitted to practice in Federal court in the Eastern, Southern and Northern Districts of New York.
John Edozie is a partner of the firm of Madu, Edozie and Madu P.C. and concentrates his practice in general civil and commercial litigation and general corporate and commercial law.
